Overview and History

GridAgents started with seed capital from the U.S. DOE with the mission to increase grid reliability and efficiency by embedding localized intelligence in distributed energy systems designed to coordinate with the larger grid network. We blazed a new path by building upon a foundation of distributed software agents capable of running within pervasive internet environments; breaking the mold on hardwired and traditional enterprise software models adopted by utilities. This has proven to be a significant competitive advantage for us in the new era of SmartGrid deployments.
